Multi User Stack U.I.

Multi User Stack U.I.

In the budding market of tablet computing, new and innovative ideas on how to integrate devices are becoming more important. I designed this U.I. for a software application that would allow you to connect an Android Samsung Tablet to an external display.

Once connected it had three modes of operation:

Mirror Mode allows the user to create a second, copy, of his tablet screen on an external display. This was created with presentations in mind.

The second mode or “Desktop” Mode launches a fully functioning Linux Desktop. The Tablet can then be used as a Keyboard and Touch pad to navigate, send emails, and browse the web like you would on any desktop computer running Linux. Imagine brining your laptop or desktop computer with you in your pocket, on the go, ready to be plugged into any external monitor.

The third mode allows a user to project there Desktop or Laptop computer display wirelessly too the tablet to be relayed to an external display. This too was designed with presentations in mind but where cables would be impractical.

Running on Android Honeycomb O.S. I chose to abandon the “traditional” look and feel of the U.I. and go with something a little more futuristic. This provided a better synergy with Honeycombs already nextgen identity.
